چکیده

The current research focuses on assessing the potential of municipal solid waste (MSW) conversion into biofuel using pyrolysis process. MSW samples were taken from Zaatari Syrian Refugee Camp. physical and chemical characteristics studied proximate elemental analysis. results showed that moisture content is 32.3%, volatile matter (VM) 67.99%, fixed carbon (FC) 5.46%, ash 24.33%. analysis was conducted CHNS analyzer found percentage elements contents: 46% Carbon (C) content, 12% Hydrogen (H2), 2% Nitrogen (N2), 44% Oxygen (O2), higher heat value (HHV) 26.14 MJ/kg. tubular fluidized bed reactor (FBR) under inert gas (Nitrogen) at 500 °C with 20 °C/min heating rate average particles size 5–10 mm. products reaction were: pyrolytic liquid, char, gaseous mixture. oil residual char analyzed Elemental Analyzer Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). FTIR product has considerable amounts alkenes, alkanes, carbonyl groups due to high organic compounds contents in MSW. consists 55% C, 37% O2, HHV 20.8 biochar 47% 49% 11.5 Further recommended study effects parameters as types operating conditions assess feasibility pyrolysis, addition environmental impact which necessary identify predict relevant this

Pyrolysis of Seaweeds for Bio-oil and Bio-char Production

A pyrolysis study on a species of brown algae Saccharina japonica was carried out in a fixed-bed reactor. The yields of bio-oil and bio-char obtained at 450 C were 47 % and 33 %, respectively. The raw S, japonica, ethanol and acid pretreated samples and the resulting pyrolysis products were also characterized with respect to proximate and ultimate analysis, and higher heating value. The crude b...

Characterization of Bio-Oil, Syn-Gas and Bio-Char from Switchgrass Pyrolysis at Various Temperatures

Pyrolitic conversion of lignocellulosic biomass, such as switchgrass and other agricultural residues, to bio-fuels is being considered for national energy security and for environmental advantages. Bio-oil, syngas and bio-char were produced and characterized from switchgrass at 400, 500 and 600 0C by pyrolysis. Bio-oil yield increased from 22 to 37%, syn-gas yield increased from 8 to 26%, and b...

Bio Gas Oil Production from Waste Lard

Besides the second generations bio fuels, one of the most promising products is the bio gas oil, which is a high iso-paraffin containing fuel, which could be produced by the catalytic hydrogenation of different triglycerides. To broaden the feedstock of the bio gas oil the catalytic hydrogenation of waste lard over sulphided NiMo/Al(2)O(3) catalyst, and as the second step, the isomerization of ...
